Juraj Sokolić was born in 1988. in Rijeka, Croatia. He has been seriously involved with dogs and dog shows since 2001. encouraged by the knowledge and experience of his father, the very well known dog judge and successful breeder, Marko Sokolić.

Juraj gathered his knowledge and expertise after attending numerous dog shows, and also by winning significant number of junior handling competitions. Juraj learned the most of his grooming and handling skills from his mentor Gregor Nemanič, the famous dog handler.

Juraj currently owns/shows three Dalmatian bitches and three Parson Rusell Terriers.

The first Juraj’s show dog was Dalmatian bitch Ch. Bella. She had the most excellent show carrier, but Jure’s favorite is still the Parson Rusell Terrier bitch Suzan’s Pride Barabara, with which he won most of the Junior handling competitions. Baba (the name she’s called by, outside the show ring) is currently one of the most awarded Parson Russell Terriers in Europe.

Juraj’s most notable junior handling results are:

• First place at the Slovenian National Championship in 2003.
• 2003 Junior handling National Champion of Croatia
• 2004 Junior handling National Vice-Champion of Croatia
• First place at the European Dog Show in Tull 2005.
• Finalist at Crufts 2006, the greatests world dog show

In 2005. Juraj establishes his own kennel, and registers the Canis croaticus affix. The kennel is focused on producing top show quality Parson Russell Terriers and Dalmatians.
